The Lions Wilderness Experience Board invites your club to give an opportunity of a lifetime to special need groups or individuals. Let them experience a 3 or 4 night stay at Northern Lights Lodge on Deschambault Lake, one hour west of Flin Flon, Man. or 3 hours east of Prince Albert, Sask. We request that one or two of your Lion's members accompany your guest and their family, friends, or caregivers (up to 6 people per cabin). The Lion's Den which is wheelchair accessible, houses the accompanying Lions members. Guest accommodations are in spacious individual cabins that are fully modern with wheelchair accessibility to all rooms. All the comforts of home are included in these cabins - dishes, cookware, towels, bedding, microwave, and even a TV/VCR. Northern Lights Lodge is modern, clean and fully wheelchair accessible. It provides a fantastic wilderness setting on paved Sask Highway #106 (better known as the Hanson Lake Road). Boats, motors, fuel, life jackets, etc. are supplied. Special swivel, belted, boat seats are available for those who need it. Numerous activities include a game room, screened bar-b-que kitchen, evening bonfires, miniature golf, lake cruises on a houseboat and more. Just pack your clothes, food, fishing gear, and enough energy for 3 or 4 days of camp activities. The friends that you meet will be Lions members and their guests from Manitoba and Saskatchewan. All guests will be assisted with boating and fishing activities by Lions members.
